So I am catching up on my internets and looking into that PWR thing from last topic, and I gotta say my interest is kinda piqued! This Underground thing has room for improvement (get a second announcer and balance the sound better for starters) but it reminds me of the old WMAC stuff I liked as a kid.

-I like how they have a guy named Jobs. And another guy named Blades. I will be upset if they don't live up to their names. :\
-I like the format a lot. They have a match and some promos, allowing them to quickly set up characters I'm interested in following before my attention span runs out.

Hm, thanks. I've slowly started adding in the expansions, and I've been doing a bit better. Having the goals really helps me formulate strategies and get points. (the latter being kinda helpful since I usually either focus on my infrastructure and forget to score, or focus on scoring and never actually create the infra to do so >_>) I am not entirely sure how the later expansions work, but I'm figuring it out. Also trying to wean myself off Explore, because I DO get attached to it. <_< Can't pay for stuff if you don't have cards! But I had a few boards where I managed to build in a way where I got plenty of cards just from producing and/or trading :D

I've been playing against an AI, and while I think I have the rules down, I have no idea what I'm doing for strategy, and have gone like 1 for 16. Any tips? I am pretty sure I am taking too much time to focus on my infrastructure, but if I try to rush VP I usually get owned. I also tend to just make up a strategy as I go if I can find two or three cards that go together to some extent.

Man, is it just me or is the difficulty progression kinda wonky? I steamrolled through everything, got stuck hard on Kenshin, and now I'm stuck on Hanzo. (not the rest of the fight, just Hanzo >_>) But I challenged the bird kingdom on a whim and wiped the floor with 'em.

-ME was a huge disappointment, even as Cryme Tyme matches go. Maybe scripting was the wrong choice? But there’s not much Psychology to go around in that set, at least not for an ME-level match. Ah well, I blame Cryme Tyme either way. They’ve really been underwhelming despite the big push.

-Holy crap Chavo is lightning in a bottle right now. MotN with a freakin’ midcarder, and a 90 promo just for the lulz.

-I dunno, is it awkward making the Streak a handicap match? I didn’t want HHH or Kane again (at least not this year), Cena and Rock are busy, so is Jericho now, and Brock’s not an option....I felt a handicap match with good competitors was the only remaining way to pose a credible threat to the Streak, and Truth and Miz could use the elevation.

-Man, good thing we had a pretty strong undercard. One of the weakest A-show ME’s I’ve put out, but the show’s still a success. ya go my smackdown

I'm gonna switch him in to avoid type overlap, which means it's time for MOAR GRINDAN. Training up a glass cannon...I'm sure that will work well in a Nuzlocke, right?

...I just realized how handy MONOBEAR is. Switched him in on a kamikaze Registeel. I learned from my previous mistakes! >:D Anyway, after a lengthy grind, we wind up in Slateport, where they sell GREAT BALLS. >:D

...This battle tent thing seems kinda fun! I wonder if these guys are randomized too? It certainly seems an odd selection if not. We're going with Taillow, Graveller, and Trapinch. First guy goes down quick, and I swap Trapinch for his Kecleon. Second guy oneshots Taillow with Kadabra, but goes down pretty easily otherwise. Kadabra comes in for Taillow. Punk isn’t scared, and in fact relishes another spotlight being put on his boys. He’s actually a bit jealous that he doesn’t get to smack HHH around himself. Moving on, HHH announces that Ryder and Show will take on Cryme Tyme at Mania, and are in the building tonight for a match! This brings out Cena, who tells HHH that he’s going to wipe those punks out himself. HHH says he won’t have the chance, as he and Cryme Tyme are banned from ringside, and besides, they all have matches tonight to keep ‘em busy! In the wake of his somehow controversial IB Title win, Maniac finds himself in a grueling boxing match AND an IB defense, all before the KotB finals! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Anyway, there are eight three-hour rounds. During each round, if you get three votes in a row, that's a knockdown, worth a point off your opponent's score for the round. Otherwise, whoever gets more voes wins the round 10-9. Three knockdowns is an automatic win, but otherwise it goes to the scorecards.

On to the deeper parts of Dewford Cave! Man, ESTRADA just isn’t cutting it....man, that was close. Tyranitar nearly killed him with Bite...and then he dies to Sandstorm. Didn’t like him much anyway. >_> This floor also has Rhyhorn, Diglett, and Wooper. Definite Ground theme going here. Also Snorunt and Seaking.

...BISHAMON10 LEARNED ANCIENTPOWER o_o Didn’t expect him to get any levelup moves for a long time! Course he can still one-shot most things with Mud Shot, but it’s nice to have options. Man, if he ever dies, I’m screwed. Nobody else on the team has good attack power right now.

Third floor has uh...Makuhita, Qwilfish, Kanghaskhan, Huntail. I nearly get RAPTH killed by leaving her up against a Huntail....but she evolves after, so it’s all good! That said, my team is having unusual amounts of trouble here. Well, my team except Groudon. I really should just treat this like a solo run. >_>

GANGREL learns Bite! That should help him a lot, although I am not immediately sure why I ditched Leech Life over Screech. After several retreats, we finally manage to clear the cave. GANGREL learns Steel Wing because why not.

….It occurs to me that herpaderp this is RANDOMIZED Pokemon, so there’s no reason to assume fishing = water pokemon. Feeling dumb, I make a quick stop by Route 107 to snag me....YAHIKO the Tyrogue. He’s kinda weak right now, but hey, sixth pokemon. ….Hey, can’t I fish in town too? Apparently not, but I CAN fish on Route 106! Let’s see...what is a Gorebyss? It nearly OHKO’s YAHIKO with Confusion, but MONOBEAR saves the day and holy crap I have to actually leave somebody in the PC. I have literally no idea what to name this thing....goin’ with TIPPER because gore I dunno. I consider switching her onto the team, but I guess I don’t need a second water type right now. Confusion is darned handy, though, and I have a feeling this is some super awesome Pokemon and I just don’t realize it. Well, whatever, I have Groudon. Let’s blow this town!
